Mission Statement
Outside Is Greater's goal is to bring people together through a common love for being outside as much as possible. We believe in inclusivity for all and that a love for nature and outdoor activities can bond people despite their
inherent differences or bias'.
Regardless of race, sex, origin, politics, or ability, we can all share an appreciation for being outside and the various activities available to us. It's no secret that being outside is healthier both physically and mentally, and we believe that sharing that with people you know and love, as well as others that share common interests, can be very rewarding.
Our company at its core is a lifestyle brand and will start off as a simple retail company selling stickers, apparel, and accessories. But as we grow, we will always revert back to our mission statement - Bringing in more and more engaging and impactful human elements that truly will unite people through a common bond.
As we grow, we will strive to provide jobs to those who need it the most, mainly the special needs community and underserved populations. We will achieve this by bringing all operations, from design to manufacturing, "in house" and establish training systems to help. By adopting a for-profit, but do-no-harm mindset, we believe we can make a difference not only in how people interact with each other, but hopefully, impact for the Greater, the lives of our employees and customers.
A constant theme you will always find with Outside Is Greater is the notion that real is better than fake, analog life over digital, experiences over items. We promote being outside because it's simply better than being inside. Connecting with real nature, and real humans, we believe, is and will always be Greater than the digital, meta world we find ourselves diving deeper into.
OUTSIDE IS GREATER!
So you may be wondering, what the plan? The first couple of years will be spent building our brand and connecting with our customers. We are so excited to bring you along on the journey as we chronicle our days getting this business off the ground and turning into a brand that not only stands for something meaningful, but gives back to the community as well. As momentum and sales start to build we are pledging to reinvest as much as possible, with the goal being 100% of any proceeds back into the company to prepare for “phase two.”
Phase 2: Speaking of giving back to the community; one that we’ve been a part of for over a decade now is the disability community. I’ve met some of my favorite people in this community, people who I consider brothers and sisters and who my children refer to as Aunt and Uncle. And now, it’s time to give back to a community that has taught our family so much about life and how to enjoy it. Our ultimate goal is to build a brick and mortar location where we can provide honest, good paying jobs and job training to people in the disabled community. Here we will hire non disabled people along with people with disabilities to work side by side to bring you our great products. After all, a product is only as good as the people behind it.
Always reverting back to our Mission Statement to bring people together through their common love for the outdoors, we are so excited for where this journey takes us.
